Mumbai Indians (MI) continued their winning run by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 33 of the IPL 2025 at the Wankhede Stadium. The five-time champions claimed a four-wicket win after restricting SRH to a total of just 162 runs. A collective team effort helped the home side clinch their second consecutive win, placing them 7th in the points table.

MI won the toss and elected to bowl first due to the dew factor. SRH never got going, as the MI bowlers did not offer anything. Tilak Varma anchored the chase and stayed unbeaten on 21* (17), while Hardik Pandya provided a blistering finish with 21 (9). MI chased down the target with four wickets in hand and 11 balls to spare. For SRH, Cummins bowled well, claiming 3/26 in his spell. While Eshan Malinga took two wickets and Harshal Patel dismissed Rickelton, it wasn’t enough for SRH.
